I don't get what the link has to do with the issue.
Did you even read the report?? The issue is not the inability to
download some "protected" content, it's just that when saving a complete
webpage, urls used in CSS such as background images are not retrieved.

I have just checked, and the issue described in this "outdated report"
is still present in the latest version of Firefox on the current version
of Ubuntu.
Before closing issues just because they are old, please check if they
still exist!
