But remember, I am not part of Ubuntu Studio Development team, so I am
not the person who is making the decision of its inclusion or not
including it, so please do not take my positive comments about Ardour 2
versus Ardour 1 as any commitment for taking it.

The Ubuntu Studio project has been in close contact with the Ardour
team. Paul Davis would rather us not package a beta release.
Paul has said Ardour 2 is close to being finished. (around the end of
the year) Universe freeze is February 7th so I think its a very good
chance that we will see Ardour
I have tried Ardour 2 on Jacklab (compiled by myself). It appears to
work and I would prefer to use it rather than the Ardour 1.
