Fabio, you are only half correct. Indeed this not *only* an Ubuntu issue because of course Spotify should just shutdown when it receives this signal. But Ubuntu should be able to manage applications which are not well behaved. For example, it should either show a dialog asking to kill the blocking

I am perfectly aware that it's not in Ubuntu repositories. This bug report is NOT about Spotify, but Ubuntu's handling of programs not letting it shut down (which should be killed). When I shut down my system I'd like it to shut down or present me a dialog of why it can't. ** Changed in: ubuntu

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and trying to help make Ubuntu better. However, it seems that you are not using a software package provided by the official Ubuntu repositories. Because of this the Ubuntu project can not support or fix your particular bug. Please report this bug to
