I've got the same issues with kernel 2.6.35-28-generic and a Thinkpad
T410s with only an intel card. Output via DisplayPort to HDMI or DVI is
stable. I've checked multiple VGA cables, monitors and projectors.

I bought a Display Port -> VGA adapter, so now the layout is:
Laptop Display Port -> Display Port to VGA convert -> KVM switch ->
monitor
And there's no blurriness. So it's definitely something specific to
using the VGA output.
