There were 3 meas updates - this is the one that does the deed here (reverting
to previous git version and software center opens
Upgraded the following packages:
libgl1-mesa-glx (7.10.1~git20110215.cc1636b6-0ubuntu2) to 7.10.1-0ubuntu1

The only difference i could see from the installs is one (the working
install) is using nvidia-current.
This machine when I filed thi bug was using nouveau (2d drivers)
Prior to this install I had installed yesterday, (same 03/09 iso), and was
using nouveau with with the mesa 3d drivers. I had no
