Ok.
I didn't add any repo to my sources.list, but maybe the cause of the
problem was that I upgraded from Edgy.
Now I've done a clean install from Feisty Herd1 without any problem.

This was probably just an intermittent issue in the package release
flow. Please reopen if it is reproduced.

You should know that I reinstalled Dapper when Herd1 was released.
If you need more info, tell me and I will do everything I can.

A package called grub-gfxboot is neither present in Ubuntu nor Debian.
You probably have added custom sources to your /etc/apt/sources.list
Could you please give the output of the following command to find out where
this package comes from:
$ LANG=C apt-cache policy grub-gfxboot

Strange, I cannot even find a package called grub-gfxboot at launchpad.
Only in Debian.
I think ubuntu-desktop depends on one boot-loader package (grub, lilo,
or no-boot-loader). It's bad that grub fell out when you upgraded.

You were right!
/sbin/update-grub belongs to grub-gfxboot
So I've installed grub and uninstalled grub-gfxboot (because
incompatibility), rebooted and know grub says I have Ubuntu!
And know the question is: why had I got grub-gfxboot instead of grub?
I've upgrade to feisty from a edgy, and some us
That was interesting. To which package does your update-grub belong then?
dpkg -S /sbin/update-grub
You will probably be fine if you install grub again.

It seems that I haven't got installed grub:

Seems like title=Debian is set inside update-grub. Which version of grub
do you have (dpkg -l grub)? Please attach /sbin/update-grub anyway.

Somehow that didn't work well. Can you delete update-grub.txt and try
again? Otherwise come to #ubuntu+1 on irc.
