Updates to stable releases are unfortunately only possible for security
or really really critical bugs. But the new version could still be
backported to edgy, let's open a backport task :)

I'm sorry, but I have no idea about the Ubuntu process. I'm a developer
and simply trying to look out for the GNOME bug squad. The 0.9.x branch
is a development branch and is subject to somewhat frequent updates to
fix bugs.
