The 18 month support period for Edgy Eft 6.10 has reached it's end of
life. As a result, we are closing the linux-source-2.6.17 Edgy Eft
kernel task. However, Hardy Heron 8.04 was recently released. It would
be helpful if you could test the new release and verify if this is still
an issue - ht

I have not found a work around for this problem. I got another
controller card.

Same problem with an adaptec 3100S raid controller. Is there any work
around for the problem? Right now my server is unusable with 6.06 LTS.
It just hangs at boot.

It appears that I have a similar problem when using Ubuntu Edgy Eft (lamp
server) install, but I do not have this problem when using Ubuntu, Kubuntu,
Xbuntu Edgy Eft (desktop) version CD. It appears that the boot process with the
lamp server install is different, because it attempts to load bot
