Set rcconf, experimented with the activation/deactivation of console-
setup and it worked. Earlier it was stated to run at startup system, but
did not run. Yet where some mistake in the package console-setup.
P.S. Set in a Natty version 1.70 or 1.68. Why is a stable debian
packages later?

this bug was fixed in 1.57ubuntu9. Now (1.57ubuntu17) the bug has returned.
But maybe you are right and it is not the same bug

Maybe we need to open a new bug, this one was fixed so this is not the same
problem I guess.
(maybe un-duplicate bug #750636 and assigning it to console-setup will do the
