I've may found where the problem is:
I've disabled the coverflow plugin and now banshee doesn't freeze the
system while starting and doesn't go over 90MB of RAM even if playing a
song..so the problem was there

Since i'm affected by this problem too, I'm going to attache the output
of that command.
The "ps -C banshee-1 -o rsz=,command=" command gave me no output.
I've noticed that, when opening, banshee freezes the system for a while
when the log says:
