Yes I had recreated the swap device since the earlier failure had
stopped it from working at all as in the other bug threads.
I tried hibernating the AJP M3000N the other day and it now works. Not
always, but most of the time. Some combination of updated kernels,
updated oth
Can you also please let us know whether by any chance you had run
"mkswap" command after the upgradation from dapper -> edgy ? Or anything
related to swap space ?

To resume from a hibernated image, the "/etc/initramfs-
tools/conf.d/resume" file has to be filled with the information of the
swap device also (which is a separate problem on a dapper->edgy upgrade)
as mentioned in 66637. Please try it also and let us know whether it
works.

For the Vaio, the fix from bug 66637 works fine and the Vaio works and
hibernates fine (but there is an issue with graphics at boot time and in
a transparent panel -- new problem in Edgy).

Hummm... this looks very like the bug 66637 problem so yes it looks like
it might be a variant. The only problem is in trying to follow the
instructions in that thread, 'fdisk -l' returns nothing for me, even for
a system with a swap device currently working.

@Russel: This may be same as bug 66637. If you feel it is similar, try
the fix mentioned there and if it works we can close this as a dup.
