I had a chance to test again and this bug seems reproducible. Here is
the warning I got this time:

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.

upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upst
Like a previous reporter of this bug, I suspended my laptop just after
boot at the GDM login screen and resumed immediately.
