The error with Preferences Dialog occurred after the firefox automatic upgrade
and firefox restart.
A Firefox close and open resolved the problem...

In my eyes the report you attached doesn't have enough information to
continue with this report, it has an incomplete stack trace and no core
dump, I am therefore going to close this report. If you can provide any
more information please feel free to reopen this report.

Unfortunately not. I think it's only happened the one time, so I was
really hoping that the crash report would have enough information to
explain why. I don't appear to have the full crash report in /var/crash
any longer, so I suppose there's not much more to add -- it was probably
just a transie

I'm having no luck attaching the crash report, I keep getting HTTP 500
errors:
