I'm afraid that the upstream package did not fix anything, rather it
broke further. Please see bug #81981 (which has been tagged as a
duplicate of this bug, while it is really not, it is a bug report on the
bugfix for this bug report.)

I've made it 'stereo' by duplicating but without changing the phase.
I've also resized to 64x64.

I've fixed this in my 0.9.3-1 upload to Debian, so it will be fixed in
Feisty shortly after it opens. The icon used isn't square, so it may not
look great, but it's not bad. This bug is, however, still present
upstream.
