Title:
New upstream version 2.7.8 of rsplib

Yes, the new regex rules are fine. Thank you for this suggestion. I have
checked the package build on 32-bit as well as 64-bit systems.
** Patch added: "The updated diff file (using the suggested regexp patterns)"
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rsplib/+bug/696512/+attachment/1845790
Completely ignoring the parameters of these functions degrades the
quality of the symbols file.
Instead I suggest using these symbol entries:
(regex)"^_ZN13TCPLikeServer11poolElementEPKcS1_P8rsp_infoP12rsp_loadinfo(m|j)PFPS_iPvjEPFvPKvEPFviEPFbS7_EPFvS7_EPFddES7_PK8sockaddr(m|j)jjbbP7TagItem@Base
The updated symbols files now use the c++/regex pattern for the symbols
being different on 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
** Patch added: "The updated diff file (symbols file using c++/regex)"
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rsplib/+bug/696512/+attachment/1844120/+files/rsplib-2.7.8-0ubu
The problem is that the library generates different symbols on 32- and 64-bit
architectures (e.g. by using size_t as a prameter).
You could use the c++/regex pattern to cover both cases. See dpkg-gensymbols(1)

I had a look at the symbols files of other Ubuntu packages (libqt4,
libxml2, libcairo2). They all only include the upstream version. So, I
think the symbols files in the previous diff file (i.e. using version
2.7.8 instead of 2.7.8-0ubuntu1) had been correct.
Here is the updated diff file, which i
I have removed the redundant entry in debian/changelog; "Updated Ubuntu
package to latest release" means the same as "New upstream release."
Also, I have updated the symbols files. They now include the Ubuntu
version, which had been stripped off in the previous version (I had
created them accordin

The diff file in comment #16 has mistakenly included some temporary
files. The diff in comment #17 is the right one.
