Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This particular bug has already been reported and is a

4.84, whereas 4.69 appears to not work well if at all with (some) Broadcom

Installing bluez-4.84 seems to fix the issue for me too. I'd suggest to
the Ubuntu maintainers that they update the bluez repository version to
4.84 for Maverick.

I've confirmed a couple of things. First, by using a different USB
Bluetooth adapter, the Azio BTD211, I am able to connect and maintain my
connection. The lsusb output for this device is:

I have also similar problem, after pairing the pin code is requested
second time. Bluetooth devices work fine after the pin is entered until
the computer is restarted or suspended and then the pin is requested
again.
This seems to happen only with specific usb bluetooth dongles. I have

works fine under windows and Ubuntu up to 9.10, but after a fresh
install of 10.10 (and trying liveCD of 10.04), it will show that pop-up

I have a similar case where I can pair my Logitech Mediaboard Pro with
one bluetooth adapter, but not another. Both adapters functioned
properly with Kubuntu 10.04 (this may have been a different bluetooth
stack?). Now in Ubuntu 10.10 with bluez my laptop's internal bluetooth
