Tried Mint 12 RC, both 32bit and 64 bit.
Ubiquity hangs at "Preparing to install Linux Mint", so I could install
neither of the versions.
My computer:

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. While we appreciate the difficulties you are facing, it
would appear that the CD image (ISO file) you downloaded could be
corrupt. There is an easy way to verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO
files you download. C
Could you provide a bit more detail on the crash?
What version of ubuntu were you trying to install?
System specs?
Where in the install process did the system hang?
