You were right -- I created a new profile and was able to disable the
Feedback add-on. I have been using my previous profile for quite a while
and I am not surprised it got corrupted somehow. Is there a way to
recover it? All I would like to save is my tabs and the list of add-ons.

Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can
conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the
problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to
test.
