The problem I believe is in libGL, and possibly in the Unichrome driver.

Also happens in Dapper Drake ( at least for me ) and Gusty Gibbon Tribe

Also in other OpenGL applications. In Gusty Gibbon Tribe 5 glxinfo
segfaults.

Tried reverting wine to edgy and changing graphics driver in xorg from
via to vesa. Screen works, wine works, but performance is totally
unacceptable.
Only acceptable workaround until compatibility issues are resolved is to
use dapper package.

dpkg -i wine_0.9.9-0ubuntu2_i386.deb (reverting to dapper package)
