Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: apt
/etc/cron.daily/apt segfaults. I added an "ulimit -c unlimited" at the
beginning to get a core dump, but the gdb output does not look very
illuminating:

(gdb) core apt-core
[New Thread 13583]
Core was generated by `/usr/bin/python /usr/bin/unattended-upgrade'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
