Agree. Any sort of 'peek' feature would be good for now. Right now I
have a Nautilus file transfer going on in the background and I can see
the status of it's progress by looking at the Home folder icon in the
Launcher (or whatever the sidebar is called). But I also have a Nautilus
folder open.

How about we find a nice new way of doing this so that we are unique and
present something new.
For ex: Hovering on the icon brings the window to the top temporarily?
Or maybe making/making obvious a way to show all the windows at the same time
to pick the right one?

Its certainly very useful. I found that a lot of time, I need to access
one of the many same application(such as terminal) and all it either all
pop up or go into the "aero-peek" view to select it after the first
click.
Win7 did that very well and can even allow closing of the app from the
aer

Nice to see you personally reply! Now that you guys have a solid 1.0 for Unity
under your belt I think this would be very helpful for normal day to day work
flow.
