did change the profile to analog now im getting the playback thank you once

[VIA VT1818S] PA test tone failed (
thank you Mr. Chen for the response... the digital out put is through IEC958..
not sure though, and hav tried changing the sound preferences but doesnt seem
to be coming through, is there something specific i need to do??? and im a
total newbie to ubuntu hence i'm unfamiliar with the commands
