yes it does, both the local and shared (from XP) printers works well. I
just can't share them. And both are listed on lpstat. Both printers are
also set as shared.
What bothers me though, after doing Google and LP search, is that I
think I'm the only one affected by this bug (on Lucid).

Do your printers work locally? Are they listed by
lpstat -v
Are your printers set as "shared"? You can do this with system-config-
printer. Right-click the printer icon and choose "Shared" in the pop-up
menu so that it gets a check mark.

Still doesn't show the printers, already restarted both cups and samba.
Also rebooted just to be sure but still no go.

Uncomment (remove the ";" in the beginning) the two lines

in smb.conf. Then restart Samba and printers should get shared. Please
tell whether it works for you.
