Yes, it seems to be the same. Both the problem and fix lead to very similar
results. It didn't say anything about gdesklets-data for me.
By adding the extended line it works now.

By the way...I tried to install the newest version I could find
(0.36.3), but it complained about some dependencies (pygtk-2.0 and
others), whose package names seemed not to be in the repositories. After
looking around a bit, I gave up.
