2:2.13.901-2ubuntu2~xup~maverick.
But note that with bleeding edge intel-driver from ppa:glasen/intel-driver
(2:2.14~glasen~maverick~ppa6),
there is still graphics problem with emacs : the cursor takes the shape of the
letters (w
Updating the intel X driver with the lasted version from
ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates repository seem to solve the issue.
And also, the bug #662071 seem to be a duplicated of this bug.

I also confirm this - the latest xserver-xorg-video-intel and libdrm2
packages from the Glasen PPA make Kwin's behaviour much more civilized.

Exactly the same behavior as in Ihor Hayvuk's post but using Intel Corporation
Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03):
- compositing off on startup (can be enabled and starts normally if checks
disabled in the configuration)
- artifacts and refreshing problems in yakuake, c
I have similar issue with Intel GM965 integrated graphics.
Compositing is disabled after login. It is possible to activate compositing in
System Settings / Desktop Effects.
After logout I've got black screen.

Upgrading to 4.5.2 via kubuntu-ppa these problems happen less
