I installed DEB package, now my system works great!!!
I've used a compiled version of openchrome.org driver for my system 'til now,
then I removed that before installing DEB.
Thanks for all community, for help and patience =D

[P4M800Pro] Xorg freeze on ubuntu 10.10 64bit

Many thanks. I tried the amd64.deb,
setting the driver in xorg.conf to 'openchrome' and there is an improvement.
I can now get 1600x1200 resolution, which is better than
the maximum I could get for the last two months of 1280x768 with the 'vesa'.
However, the Xserver says it could not apply
