Thanx for the update that i should have done!
You can close that bug as it is no more happening neither on edgy nor on
feisty herd 5.

that is not a bug really.

the only thing that I can see in compiz is

Fabien: please try with the Feisty Herd5 test-release if that works for

Yes I tried and I see "plugin not found" I'm using the compiz in
feisty repository. Anyway, I didn't understand why should I try to
start compiz in indirect render. Could you explain please?

Well no it is not indirect in radeon it is indirect in all cards (
except maybe nvidia ones that don't use aiglx but there own
implementation
I tried and on my computer compiz --help prints --indirect-rendering for
both 0.3.4 and 0.3.6.
did you try just passing those args and see what it did ?
i
So you mean that glx_ext_tfp is only indirect in radeon :( I hoped it
could be another bug because it is too much slow inindirect rendering!
anyway compiz 0.3.4 does not list in its options --indirect-rendering
while 0.3.6 does.

I think you mean compiz 0.3.6 as compiz 0.3.4 still has the --indrect-
rendering option.
For compiz 0.3.6 this option has been defaulted to you don't need to
pass it when you launch compiz.
If you still have problems with compiz and glx_ext_tfp try to launch compiz
that way:
LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIREC
I'm using feisty, radeon driver and compiz 0.3.4, which does not have
--indirect-rendering as an option. How could I try to go into indirect
rendering?
No I don't have this package installed. I've seen somewhere that to
avoid this error mesa should be upgraded to the latest version... is it
possib
do you have the xorg-driver-fglrx package installed?

I am already running compiz with it :
my exact commande line is
compiz --replace --use-cow --indirect-rendering --strict-binding gconf
Here are my sources.list and the output of the dpkg -l command
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ edgy main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://ar
could you try to run compiz with --indirect-rendering --strict-binding ?
