In fact it was a black screen before (??) grub (I mean, just after system
check-up, at the time where I use to have grub choice for system selection).
Nevertheless:
lspci | grep "VGA":
01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
Well, no it work find! ;-)
Unfortunately, blank screen is a common issue for all graphic card
manufacturers!

I have the same problem. When it came time during the installation to
install Grub I chose to use the maintainers version instead of the
existing Grub file. I ran the compare and there was very little
difference between the two so I chose the newer one.
