Hi Daniel.
This is about 10.10 when I use 'single_cmd=1'
I'm using my own build PC with front audio panel. Both microphones
(external-front audio panel:internal-from motherboard) works and capture audio
audibly.Hmmm, headphones (front audio panel) works OK,but I can't test mute
speakers when conne
So do you use single_cmd=1 successfully in 10.10? By "successfully" I
mean both headphones and speakers play audibly; headphones mute the
speakers when inserted; internal and external microphones capture
audibly.

Sorry Daniel,I've done mistake in my post#14.
"But 'single_cmd=1' NOT work with alsa 1.0.18rc3 (Ubuntu 9.04) and alsa 1.0.23

The patch loader is already enabled in the kernel configuration, so
that's irrelevant.
Can you confirm that you don't need single_cmd=1 in the latest Maverick
(or Natty) kernel? Except for extreme conditions, active bug fixing
really only occurs in the current development branch (Natty).

Hi David!
Using 'position_fix=1' do nothing for me.I'm using ONLY 'single_cmd=1'
command.Any other command or combination not give more positive effect, than not
command at all. But 'single_cmd=1' NOT work with alsa 1.0.18rc3 (Ubuntu 9.04)
and alsa 1.0.23 (Ubuntu 10.10).or after upgrade alsa t
Do you still need single_cmd=1 if you use position_fix=1? (Sorry, I had
misinterpreted David's statement in comment #9.)

@David Ah, thanks for clarifying. So, no, he shouldn't.
@janusz You don't need to adjust bdl_pos_adj or position_fix, actually.
The daily build of the newest drivers are sufficient.

@Daniel, just to double-check: position_fix=3 is the default behaviour
for non-quirked VIAs in the current daily snapshot. Did you mean he
should test with position_fix=1?

I was preparing my "own" bug report when I came across this almost
identical concern here. I say this because what I did to increase my
chances of a good playback is to disable crossfading. However I think
this is still a bug affecting this feature in RB.
