There was a mention at UDS by the design team of 'fixing window
resizing', although I don't know if what they're looking at would cover
gnome-terminal. In any case, I've nominated this for 100 papercuts.
Btw, thanks for the Alt+Middle workaround. That will save me many
frustrated minutes.

For one thing the grip area to resize shouldn’t depend on the thickness
of the window borders. And everything wider than 1px looks ugly for the
transparent terminal window.

Glad I have a new shortcut in my arsenal, Alt+Middle button to resize
windows. But, I have to confess that after a few days on Maverick, I
find this losing the ability to (easily) resize the window by dragging
the corner somewhat annoying. I feel that this is one of these 1000
papercuts type issues
I think the problem didn't bother me as much in 10.04 because the
terminal had a rounded bottom which extended the target click area.
I propose an increased target area. For instance: [see attached] there
is a bunch of dots arranged in a triangle to hint the user that it is
resizable. If we coul
