in 20100928.2 (UNE) and 20100928 (Desktop i386) new pre-RC ISO the problem
seems fixed.
Now I can authenticate correctly.

Thanks a lot for your report. Could you please attach logs files for the
SSO service and for Ubuntu One?
Those files are located at:
~/.cache/sso/oauth-login.log
and
~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/ (all logs in this folder)
