I've noticed working mplayer-gui 1.0~rc4 package at motumedia repository, look
at:

I simply added this repository, installed mplayer-gui package and got new
working mplayer-gui release in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:m
** Also affects: baltix
