latest updates appear to have fixed it, i can now play flash, rhythmbox
and movieplayer without issues.

As of Sep 24 I have no sound on flash, and although Rhythmbox and Amarok
work after a restart, shutting them down once will cause no sound/play
upon restart. Neither of them shut down properly, and after killing the
ghost process in top or via killall -9, subsequent restarts won't work.

Oh I would also like to add that as a result of this bug Rhythmbox will
not play music even if it's set to play music.
