I do not care about my comfortable in this case, I (and not only I) just
see important usability problem in Ubuntu and report it.

that is why i have Linux OS
you can central everything you want
you only need to do so very good searching
and you will pull it off
but i like it the way it is

Maybe, but try to compare with KDE or Windows - you'll be surprised.

That is the hardest part.
Also put cursor on the corner of GTK-applications in KDE much easier
than native Qt-applications.

the only small areas to resize are the areas with the buttons
only the 2 top corners are the hard once but resize able
as long as you put you pointer on the borders you can resize
