I just installed Kubuntu 7.10 from DVD. First thing I did after install
was to try to update the system. After an initial update it offered to
upgrade me to Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 (which I just installed). I declined.
Since then I ran it from the K menu button and I get a ksedu prompt and
then nothing.
I just fully updated my gutsy system and I still have this problem. I
need to start Adept multiple times in order to make it start.

OK I just answered my own question. I just observed the 'disappearing
hourglass' problem on a fully updated gutsy system. Started Adept from
Kmenu and got an hourglass in the taskbar. After about 20-30 seconds it
disappeared and nothing else happened. It didn't even get as far as
displaying the pas

released is anyone still experiencing these problems or has it actually
been fixed?
