Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution
I wanted to check my mail before logging out and I clicked on the
Send/Receive button. But instead of getting new messages, I lost most of
my messages in the inbox. Before there was 100 messages and after the
error only 15. Before installing 10.10 beta, I had no problems with my
mail, so I'm guessing that the problem is with evolution.

When the messages disappeared, there was small red hexagon with a white
cross inside it at the bottom left which said something about an error.
I clicked on it and a box appeared saying:

Error while Refreshing folder 'INBOX'.
Incomplete server response: no information provided for message 81
