Latest kernel update (2.6.32.25-generic #44) hasn't changed it for me.
Didn't expect it to since I did the upstream testing already.
Works fine on Windows 7 also.

Same problem with Acer Travelmate 7530.
Suspend works fine.
Attempt to wake up, CPU, fans and HDD come back to life, screen is completely
blank (not even backlit).
2.6.32-25-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP x86_64
(BTW. Windows 7 suspend/resume works fine with same laptop)

Same here on Thinkpad T500 running 10.04 32-bit.
This is a major bug and very likely a safety concern. The first time
this happened I didn't realize that my laptop hadn't suspended properly
and placed it in my laptop bag and left it in my car. When I took the
