Confirmed for 10/10/10 release - shows purple Ubuntu boot screen, then
goes garbled, unresponsive when video mode would normally switch heading
into X.
Using ubuntu-10.10-desktop-amd64.iso (This is the ISO I got when I
selected 64-bit - not sure if there's a non amd64 ISO intended for Intel
chips.
I tried 10/04/10 build last night:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20101004/maverick-desktop-amd64.iso
The bug still exists.

Hello Fabio,
I tried maverick-desktop-amd64.iso released on 09/12/10
Sometimes it would hang in the middle (I didn't write down where exactly).
Sometimes it would boot, I could hear the logon sound play, but the display
would be garbled, I could not see anything.
Could be a video driver problem
Hello yuri
Is this reproducible with the latest build?
If yes, at the first screen when you select to try Ubuntu, hit F6, hit Esc,
delete quiet and splash, hit enter two times.
Loading will start in verbose mode, look at it and tell us where it fail.
Thanks
Fabio
