Public bug reported:

I'm not really sure what the problem is. Web browsing seems really slow
with Edgy. If I reboot and go back to Windows XP, browsing is faster..
The symptom is weird. If I go to http://slashdot.org, which is usually
lightning fast, the firefox just sits there, and the status is: "Looking
up slashdot.org..." for a couple of seconds (maybe about more than 5
seconds or so). Eventually it found what it was looking for, and it
draws the screen pretty fast.

I thought it was maybe a browser problem, but the same delay happens too
with lynx. It sits there with "Looking up slashdot.org first" for a
couple of seconds..

One possibility is that this is a DNS problem, but I don't think it is.
My DNS server is done by my wireless router (DNS relay), and this
problem doesn't occur on Windows XP. I don't know what else could be the
problem.

If I browse my local server here, it goes really fast (the host name is in
/etc/hosts)
It maybe related to bug: "63319 [edgy] web browsing is excessively
slow", but I can't be sure, so I just filed a new bug report. It'll be great if
this can be fixed soon.. :-) Any hints on how to fix this is very much
appreciated.

Thanks
