I've experiened the same issue with Hardy (freshly installed), Feisty and Hardy
(upgraded from Feisty)
Has anybody ever been able to open the network stream with a programme that
istn't Kaffeine?
With every other player it is simply impossible to open the stream (I've tried
vlc, Winamp, Windows
Exactly the same problem here using latest version of kaffeine from
repository (0.85) and Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon, freshly installed. It
seems as there is an error in processing the path, the error messages
shows squares instead of letters in the path name and error says that
path is wrong (path i

It even causes a crash on SuSE Linux 10.2 i386 with the most recent kaffeine
rpm up to date: 0.8.4.
it runs with xine.
My problem is hardly the same, it's just the german version.
I couldn't fix it jet, but if can, i'll post it.
