If this is supposed to go into maverick, it needs to follow the SRU
procedure. (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates).
AFAICS this should be auto-synced to natty and afterwards can go through
SRU for maverick.
The patch in comment 3 should probably be updated for maverick-proposed.
