The 18 month support period for Edgy Eft 6.10 has reached it's end of
life. As a result, this is being closed. However, Hardy Heron 8.04 was
recently released. It would be helpful if you could test the new release
and verify if this is still an issue -

Sorry, I am just a guy that has been trying to get Ubuntu working on his
two year old G5 single for a lng time. I have looked at the man
pages, but I haven't gotten a lot out of this. What is it I should do
and how do I do it? I am trying to help to make sure that Ubuntu works
correctly on a G5

This may be related to Bug 27269. There have been a lot of changes
lately, so I haven't really been able to follow how the windfarm issues
have been lumped together. There was also a claim that this had been
fixed in Alpha "Edgy Eft" I can however confirm that the problem is
still there.
