Hi. Can you do a little experience?
Start gconf-editor program, go to /apps/notification-daemon and modify
'theme' key from 'ubuntu' to 'standard'.
Try to see if error persists. Write here what happened.
PS: Feel free to back to 'ubuntu' theme after this experiment.

only a few people working on them so it can take time, that one looks
like a small glitch and not a priority
