The problem has been reintroduced in Hardy, but now there are more
untranslated strings:

... and all of the original bugreport.
All this strings are translated into Spanish for Hardy in Launchpad:

Mmmm... I don't know if the problem is exactly in the hal package. If I
do:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ $ grep "DVD±R"
/usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/*.mo
Binary file /usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/gnome-vfs-2.0.mo matches
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ $
Therefore, the gnome-vfs-2.0.mo file
