Looks like the fix is not working for me : on Ubuntu 11.04, updated, French
system, I fully installed Japanese via language-selector, restarted the pc and
restarted language-selector to finish installing language packages, and still
poppler-data is not installed. (so I can't read some

Click on your user name at the upper right of any Launchpad page, then
click "Bugs" at the top of the page. After that click "Advanced Search"
near the search input field. Then mark all bug states and execute the

It's not just required for CJK documents. I have come across other bug
reports with incomplete/incorrect text rendering which were fixed by
installing poppler data. I can't find any of them at the moment,
presumably because they are marked Fix Released.
