Bad news. https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18122 states that this touchpad is not supported upstream yet (legal issues). So, the patches that were provided in lucid need to be applied again in maverick. I don't know if some of the patches were part of xserver-xorg-input- synaptics
