After hibernation and the computer start up. If I change to the
following line in /etc/default/grub GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nomodeset" I can

I have found that I can never get into recovery mode with the kernel
that comes standard in the CD installation. I have tried recovery mode
without having the fault described in this bug report and I do not get a
prompt and I sometimes get the fault message as given in the initial
