I've found offending plugin: org-gnome-exchange-operations. It's marked as 'system', so it's hard to get rid off. I've unmarked 'system' flag and disabled it through plugins interface. FWIW: I have clear install of Maverick (all updates as of today) in virtual machine. -- Unable to open folders

I have to note that the issues I am experiencing are on a system upgraded from 10.04. I have not had a chance yet to do a clean install of Maverick to see if it still occurs. But, I did try to create a new user account and still had the same problem, so it is not a problem in my home directory or
