Should Firefox crash when a third party plugin is used? If a plugin crashes,
all other pages should be unaffected - right?
What kind of rights should a plugin have?
Personally I think it should be very limited. Programs should be able to say if
they want a third party plugin to mess up their beh

I deleted ~/.mozilla/plugins/flashplayer.xpt and libflashplayer.so. Now
the link works.
Flash wash installed in an old version of Ubuntu. I think a blacklist of
these version should be used, when people install from the repository.
Which version is used in that situation? The newest?

Okay, I can confirm this also with upstream version, Mozilla Firefox 2.0b2.
Same bug - maybe it is an X error? I am using Edgy, updated today.

I can confirm this with 1.99+2.0b2+dfsg-1ubuntu2.
"The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.

Mozilla behaves the same way. Konqueror works fine there. All of them
use macromedia flash player. I have not found any crash report.
