This has happened to me twice now after a couple power failures. My
server boots back up and all my uptimed records are gone. / partition is
Ext4.

Same here on Ubuntu 10.10 Server after a crash :/ - the whole point of
uptimed for me is to keep track of uptimes between crashes. This really
needs to be fixed.

Same on my server using ext4 on Ubuntu 10.04 (Kernel 2.6.32-24-generic)
when I had to plug off the power cable.
Uptimed should use the backup /var/spool/uptimed/records.old and not start from
scratch.
Are the files /var/spool/uptimed/records and /var/spool/uptimed/records.old
always open or jus
